When is an exhumation performed?
Transfer of the deceased: When the family wishes to relocate remains to a different family grave or another cemetery (within Croatia or abroad).
Deepening the grave: To create space for new burials within an existing grave site.
Legal timeframes: Please note that exhumation may take place 15 years after burial in an earthen grave, or 30 years in the case of a built tomb, provided all sanitary requirements are met.
