NOTE: If a song that is particularly meaningful to you does not appear on the list, please feel free to suggest it. For a preparation and arrangement fee, our performers will be happy to fulfill your request.
MUSIC PROTOCOL
Protocol for Musical Performances at Zagreb Cemeteries
(Mirogoj, Miroševac, Markovo Polje, and other city cemeteries)
To ensure the funeral service proceeds in perfect order and in compliance with Zagreb cemetery regulations, the musical program follows a strictly defined protocol:
In front of the mortuary: The first two songs are performed here—during the bringing out of the deceased and immediately before the funeral procession begins to move.
At the gravesite: The third song (and potentially a fourth) is performed immediately before the coffin is lowered into the grave.
Program planning and ceremony duration: Typically, 3 to 4 songs are performed at standard funerals, while adhering to the ceremony’s time constraints. When planning the number of songs, the religious rite and scheduled speeches must be taken into account to ensure the entire ceremony stays within the allotted timeframe.
Option to extend the time slot: If you would like a more extensive musical program, a greater number of speeches, or a longer religious service, our team can arrange a double time slot for you. This allows the farewell ceremony to proceed without pressure or stress, leaving ample room for all your wishes.
Music during the farewell ceremony – Crematorium
Unlike traditional burials, the entire farewell ceremony at the Crematorium takes place inside the hall, allowing for greater flexibility in the choice of music and visual content.
Recorded music: Two songs are typically played during the ceremony. You can provide your selections in various formats (CD, USB drive, or YouTube link). When planning the number of songs, it is important to consider the religious service and any speeches to ensure everything stays within the allotted time.
Video presentations: To make the farewell even more personal, the Crematorium offers the option of showing a video presentation featuring photos or videos of the deceased, playing in the background accompanied by your chosen music.
